History
Coach Paul Noble, along
with three members of the current Rebels 92 team,
began playing softball together in the summer of 2003 as the Mead Jets.
Kali Haas, Katy Noble, and Emily Temple were all part of that summer’s
Indian Peaks League Championship team.
In the summer of 2004, several
members of the team decided to try
competitive ball as
the 12C Rebels. Over the years, the
team has gradually grown more
competitive and driven, winning many
championships and making many friends along the way.
A solid
core of teammates who have played together
for many years have been joined by
several "newbies" to make this year's Rebels 92 team. There
are six members of the 2004 12C State Championship team still playing
today. Joining our three 'old
timers' from the Mead Jets are Amy
Ekart, Selene Kearns, and Kendra Merritt.
Rebels 92 will not play together
in 2009, however, we take with us years of memories and friends. Our time as
Rebels 92 will be remembered as "the good old days", that is for certain.
We had a lot of fun and many, many wins. Once a Rebel, always a Rebel.
Our Duck
The Rebel Duck represents "ducks on the
pond." Whenever a player hits a home run she gets to sign the
duck and take it home. Hopefully by the end of the season, our duck has
traveled to many homes.
